Junru Huang(黄俊如)is a visual journalist from China who is currently producing videos for the Chicago Tribune. Before that she did a summer internship at the Tribune as a photojournalist and web producer, and a fall internship there producing video content for ChicagoTribune.com. She loves to tell stories and is trying to be better at it.

Her American friends call her Wendy, which is a name she picked up from the story of Peter Pan.

She has an M.A. in Visual Communication from Ohio University in Athens, and got her B.A. in journalism from Renmin University of China. Previously, she interned at the Hutchinson News in Kansas, the Beijing News in China and Photo Magazine in Hong Kong. Her works have been published on the Washington Post, Domus (Italian Architecture Magazine) , China Daily, and a few other magazines besides the publications she has worked for.

She is also a freelance designer for the independent website CNPolitics.org, making infographics on Chinese politics.
